The boy and the bottle with sweets

Once a little boy went to a shop with his mother. The shopkeeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle with sweets and said “Dear Child.. you can take some sweets”

But the child didn’t take anything. The shop keeper was surprised with the fact that a child did not want taking the sweets from the bottle. So, he said to the child once more, “take the sweets”.

Now the mother of the child told him, “take the sweets dear,” and he didn’t take anything.

The shopkeeper seeing the child was not taking the sweets, he himself took the sweets and gave to the child. The child was happy to get two hands full of sweets. While returning home the Mother asked the child, ” Why didn’t you take the sweets, when the shopkeeper told you to take them?”

Child replies, Mom! my hands are very small and if I take the sweets I can only take few, but now, you see? the shopkeeper took the sweets with his big hands, and I got a lot of sweets.

This child shows the wisdom that some of us, as children of God, have to have. He understood that to receive what he wanted in a better way, he didn’t have to do it on his own.

If we let God himself to give us the things that we need or want, you can be sure you will receive the best in greater quantities!
