Signs of a grateful heart

When we are grateful we will always leave good memories in the lives of other people. A simple gesture of gratitude can make the day of those around us different.

God delights in a thankful heart; Biblically, we see the example of David, “a man with a heart after God’s.” And we wonder, what would be the secret of this man to have such a title? Well, his secret had to do with the gratitude in his heart, which we see reflected in each of the psalms, in which he never got tired of praising God for each of the favors he received.

The signs of a person who has a grateful heart are:

He thanks at all times

A person who has a grateful heart does not miss the opportunity to recognize those who have helped him. With a smile or a small gesture of satisfaction, you can show appreciation to those around you.

We must understand the importance of the word “thank you.” When we are grateful, we see life in a different way, giving value to those around us, considering them as part of the team, and appreciating their talents and abilities.

He has peace

Clearly, a person who is grateful is someone who has seen God’s mercy on his side, that is why he lives every day thanking God for having helped him in the midst of difficult situations. That is why he has peace in his heart, because he remembers every day the great wonders that God has done and knows in advance that any circumstance, no matter how difficult it may be, is in God’s hands and He has everything under control.

He prays without ceasing

When a person is grateful, prayer becomes a delight. A person favored by God does not pray for commitment, he does it for love, because he knows that it is in prayer where he wins his battles and receives all his blessings.

He proclaims God’s wonders

A person who has a thankful heart testifies to others of the great wonders God has done in his life. He does not get tired of proclaiming the greatness of the Lord, but knows that by doing so he honors the one who fills him with grace and favors.

He blesses others

Someone who constantly receives God’s favor lives to bless others, because he has understood that it is better to give than to receive and that everything he sows to others will be multiplied by his Heavenly Father.

This person hosts and gives bread to the needy; he sympathizes with the needs of his brothers and does everything possible to supply them. He knows that the blessings he has received from the Lord are to be shared with others. He does not become indolent when faced with the need of the needy, rather he looks to Jesus and follows his example.

He does everything with love

Everything he does, he does it with love, knowing that serving others is serving God; He does nothing to boast, instead, he gives glory to the Lord with his work and each of the things he does, both in the ministry and outside of it.
