How do I stay strengthened while fasting?

Fasting is a true secret source of power, which, during the years that Jesus walked on this earth, he practiced and taught his disciples.

If you want to stay strong in the time you have set aside to seek God through fasting, you can help yourself by taking the following steps:


When you add a significant time of prayer to the fast you have arranged, you are equipping yourself with spiritual weapons so powerful that no demon can resist them (Matthew 17:21).


Be sure to read at least one chapter of the Bible, because reading the Bible will bring light, direction and impressive strength to your life, especially during the time of fasting.

Here are some books we recommend: The Gospels, which are: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

You can also read the book of Acts, Romans, Philippians, James, Hebrews, Jude, The Epistles of John, among others. If you don’t have the time to read, you can download the Bible in audio and listen to it while you do other things.


What you hear during your time of consecration should be highly selective content. For example, songs and ministrations that incite you to surrender, sanctify and worship to the Lord.

Do this, and you will see how you will feel that you are carrying out the purpose, for which you have decided to consecrate yourself, to the fullest extent, which is fasting and prayer.
