How can I be sure I won’t be left behind in the rapture?

Response

The series of Left Behind novels and movies has raised numerous inquiries from many individuals: is the rapture real? (Response: yes.) Will the rapture be followed by a period of divine judgment on earth? (Response: yes.) Will I be left behind in the rapture? (Response: that depends.)

The rapture is the term used to describe the event in which Jesus returns to remove believers from this world. The Bible refers to it as a “catching away” «then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. », (1 Thessalonians 4:17) and depicts it as an immediate “transformation” of the body that bypasses death (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). Those who are raptured “will be with the Lord forever” «then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. », (1 Thessalonians 4:17). Followers of Jesus Christ are taken in the rapture; non-believers will be left behind when the rapture takes place.

Those who are left behind in the rapture will encounter a rapidly changing world—and the change will not be positive. Second Thessalonians 2:11 states that the “power of lawlessness” is currently being restrained by the Holy Spirit. During the rapture, the true church is taken away from the earth, and the Holy Spirit’s restraint will be “removed.” At that instant, there will be no born-again believers left in the world. All the Christian workers in hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages, rescue missions, relief agencies—gone. Every Christian in law enforcement, social work, and healthcare.e—gone. Many churches will sit empty. Besides the significant gap in the service community, God’s judgment on a rebellious world will commence, as detailed in Revelation 6—16.

Do not be left behind. Ensure you are prepared for the rapture. Since the rapture is for believers, it is crucial to place your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior «And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. », (Acts 16:31). Repent of your sins and completely trust in Jesus alone as the atonement for your sins. Believe in Him, and you will not perish «For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. », (John 3:16). The Lord knows His own, and He will not leave any of them behind «I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. », (John 10:14).

Those who are saved by faith in Christ will not be left behind in the rapture. The saved are like the five wise virgins in Jesus’ parable who are prepared for the arrival of the bridegroom; they have their lamps trimmed, burning, and filled with oil—a symbol of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 25:1-13). To ensure you are not left behind, trust in Christ. Today is the day of salvation «(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, And in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) », (2 Corinthians 6:2). Do not postpone any longer. The situation is urgent. Trust in Christ now.
