God, the Father that never abandons you

Father’s day is coming, and on this day some people take advantage of the opportunity to give presents to their fathers as a way to honor them.

However, there is another group of people that instead of feeling happy and motivated to celebrate this day with their dads, they feel sad or angry. These feelings may be due to their fathers passed away, abandoned them, or in the worst cases, mistreated them leaving physical and emotional scars in their hearts.

If you identify with the second group, there are good news for you, you still have a father, and it is God. He is your heavenly Father, He is with you and won’t ever abandon you (Psalm 27:10).

Today, He wants you to know that He loves you so much! He has seen your pain, but wants you to forgive, let the past go and receive the happy and victorious life He wants you to have (Jeremiah 29:11).

This is a time to forget about the bad examples and terrible experiences your earthly father left you. If he didn’t treat you or gave you a good example or the emotional support you need, there is a possibility that he didn’t have a good example neither.

Do not repeat that behaviour, you are called to change the present and future by starting again.

Today is the time for your emotional healing. Hold the hand of your Heavenly Father to your new and awesome purpose.

In God, you have all you need; salvation, protection, love, blessings, healing, joy, strength, etc,.

Focus on developing your relationship with the Father that never leaves you, and you will be able to enjoy being a child of God, the God almighty.

I invite you to do this prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for being with me. Today, I ask you to heal my heart and mind from all that does not come from you. You are my healer, my protector and my safety place.

I decide to receive the good and new life you gave me through Jesus Christ; a life of joy, love, and mercy. I decide to forgive and let the past in the past. I decide to make room to receive your blessings, in Jesus’ name, amen!

Thank you for loving me with unconditional love!
