The next story could become a reality in our lives if we don’t pay attention to what we are giving our kids as an example to follow.
My son was born a few days ago, but I had to travel, I have so many work commitments. My son learned to eat by himself when I least expected it, he said his first words when I was gone. How fast my son grows! Time goes by so quickly!
My son turned 10 yesterday and he said to me: Thanks for the gift dad! I liked the ball! Do you want to play with me? -Not today son, I have a lot to do. Ok dad, we’ll do it any other day, he said with a smile on his face. Always saying the words, ‘I want to be just like you’
Mi son came back from College the other day, all grown up. Son, I’m so proud of you, come sit next to me, let’s talk a bit. Not today dad, I have a lot of things to do. Please, lend me your car to go visit some friends.
I retired and my son lives away from me. I called him today: Hi son, I’d like to see you. – ‘ I’d love to dad, but I am too busy! You know, my job, my kids… But thanks for calling anyway, it was good to hear your voice!’.
When I hung up the phone I realized that my son WAS JUST LIKE ME.
If we imitate our heavenly Father our life will be an example to follow and through it we’ll say more than a thousand words
- Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ 1 Corinthians 11:1
- Be very careful, then, how you livenot as unwise but as wise Ephesians 5:15
- Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to youand even more Mark 4:24
- See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him 1 John 3:1
