Do you have a family like this?

Over time, society evolves and we can see how family ties are disappearing, family meals are so difficult to find.

A few decades ago, family gathering was a common thing.

But, this circle has been narrower every time, and some members of the family have been absent: uncles, cousins, brother, and sisters in law and, now, parents and children are absent too.

When Jesus revealed this prophetic word it seemed to be outrageous for some people because, at the time, the family had a great value.

“Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.” Matthew 10:21

Today, we can see for ourselves, the loss of natural affection, (2 Timothy 3:1-4), the rupture of family ties, fathers against sons, sons against fathers, brothers against brothers, absences, resentments, confrontations.

And this statement is not the result of reading a statistic but by life experience and personal contact with thousands of families.

Irresponsible father, backsliding children, conflicts, and neglect, bad relationship between fathers and children; the true of the text is:    “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child” this is not to say: “will kill them” it says: “have them put to death” by affections and distresses.

On the other side, there are some people have opted for don’t have any kind of limit, disciplines. They give their children totally independently and everyone can do what they want in their houses, there is a big generation that never knows the “No”

The opposite, is want govern other houses, because it means “fight” and all battles are expensive, for that reason some of people have a  false appearance, the reality is that they haven’t been family for a long time.

There are marriages with false appearance for others, fathers and children that don’t talk between them, brothers that hurt them, we can see even cousins, nephews that have never known and will never be known.

The family affects were confused; they live together but are not closer, they don’t talk, don’t spend time between then and if they try to do It for special moments is only to fight.

As Christian we should make the difference, we mustn’t be equal than the world, if we talk about love and say that we know God so we should be conciliators and ambassadors for peace.

Matthew 5:9

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God”.
