How to defeat my worst enemy

116

“I” am my worst enemy, my thoughts become powerful weapons that destroy my life, strike my faith with lies and fear, and I weaken myself. When I let those thoughts act I put limits that prevent me from advancing.

Those thoughts are so subtle that we don’t notice them until we find ourselves between a rock and a hard place, feeling like the world is falling apart, defeated.

These negative thoughts fill us with insecurities, mistrust, fear, doubts, and we forget all the promises of God and His word that restores and strengthens our lives.

But there is an antidote to overcome this enemy: The sword of God, His word and the power and authority we find in it are the best weapons to destroy this giant that wants to take possession of our lives.

2Corinthians 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Let’s feed our thoughts with our service to God, doing His will and keeping His word. Let’s connect our minds with His, and let us long that our thoughts to be like His.

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.
