Bible verses that will help you make the right decision

Every single day in our life is going to be completed by decisions. Some decisions are easy to make because they are part of our routine. However, there are others that require a higher level of responsibility not only because it involves our lives and benefits but also the others.

For a good decision, praying is the best beginning. The next step would be following God´s advice He sets for you in His word. If your decision goes according to the Word of God and gives you inner peace, you are in the right way.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.  (James 1:5)

  1. When you need courage

  • Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

  • Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

 (Psalm 27:14)

  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

  • I can do all things through him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

  1. When you are stressed

  • Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)

  • Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22)

 

  • Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? (Psalm 118:5-6)

 

  • And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

  1. When you need to build your faith

  • And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:22-24)

  • For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

  • “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10)

  • Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

  1. When you need wisdom

  • If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. (James 1:5)

  • The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice. (Proverbs 12:15)

  • Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent. (Proverbs 17:27-28)

  • For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7)

  1. When you need perseverance

– As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good. (2 Thessalonians 3:13)

-Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4)

–  Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

  • If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (John 15:7)
