But you are not one of those people, that’s why here you are going to learn what you need to do to gain wisdom.

1. Study the book of proverbs

The written Word of God (The Bible) offers you a variety of books that will help you grow in all areas of your life during your walking with Christ (2 Timonthy 3:16). The book of proverbs is one of them, and its purpose is to help you be wise through many practical teachings related to everyday life. One you start studying and putting into practice the advice this book offers, you will start experiencing the great feeling of making decisions full of wisdom.

2. Fear the Lord

In the same book of proverbs, written by the wisest man on earth, King  Solomon, you can read that feraing the Lord gives a person wisdom and knowledge (Proverbs 1:7).

Here, “Fear the  Lord” has to do with a reverent attitude of respecting God for who He is; His personality, His power, His glory, His holiness, etc… and also for what He has done (Psalm 24:1; Matthew 5:45; John 3:16).

Fearing the Lord and respecting Him for who he is and for what he has done in your life   implies living a life that pleases Him.

Proverbs 8:13 tells you that “To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.”

That’s very clear. So, if you want wisdom, now you know what you have to do.

3. Obey the Word of God

God always wants the best for you. If you decide to do things His way, you will become wise (Matthew 7:24). It doesn’t mean, you are not going to face certain situations, it means that no matter what happens, you will keep trusting the Lord. That’s wisdom! The Lord promises you to give you victory by turning those situations for your own good (Romans 8:28). He is your good Father, and loves you more than you can imagine. If you find some commandments that you don’t want to follow because go against what you want, be careful. Everything in the Bible in for your good (Jeremiah 29:11)
