Hincapié Ramírez hopes to change his appearance to closely resemble a skull.

One of his greatest desires is to have special contact with death and be a “living Kalaka (skull).” His transition began at an early age, specifically at age 12; this after the death of his mother.

He dedicated all his transformation to his mother. He confesses that his closeness with death helps him to be also “closer to his mother.”

One of his first surgeries was when he cut his tongue into two parts and then proceeded to tattoo it; which is inspired by snakes. He aspires to have a viper as a pet.

Kalaca has revealed that some of his transformations have been without anesthesia, because he likes to observe the surgery process.

«I feel the union with the skull, with death, I feel as if it were my sister, my own family. I want  to look like her even more each day, until I am the walking skull itself,” said the young man.

For the young tattoo artist, skulls “demonstrate what we all are, no matter if you are a woman or a man.”
