Those who were located in mountains and at the foot of hills also had to abandon their properties; also the trails and hiking camps are closed.

The fire is expected to remain active in the next few hours due to the temperature and drought in the area despite the fact that firefighters managed to contain 5% of the fires.

Several investigations are underway looking for the origin of the fire, they presume that it may be criminal.

The flames are currently expected to spread strongly over the mountains putting hundreds of lives at risk in the Reservo de Morongo area.
