Two students at a high school in Central Florida, planned to murder 15 younger students, kill them with knives and drink their blood, officials said last Wednesday.
The two students, from Bartow Middle School, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a weapon on school property, carrying a weapon and disruption of school activities, Bartow Police Chief Joe Hall said at a press conference.
According to the officials, the 11- and 12-year-old girls said they were Satan worshippers and that they were going to drink the blood of the students they killed and possibly eat their flesh. The minors were also planning to commit suicide, they said.
The plan was thwarted Tuesday when an automatic call from the school to the home of one of the minors notified parents that their daughter had not arrived at class, according to Hall.
The child’s mother called the school and the assistant principal found the students in the bathroom, Hall said.
The girls were taken to the director’s office, where one of them was found with a butcher’s knife and a kitchen knife. The minors also had a pizza cutter.
In addition, the minors had a drink in the bathroom, authorities said.
Detectives found a handmade map in the girls’ homes that included the phrase “go kill in the bathroom.
“Today, there is Health Class, thanks to Satan, we will do it quickly,” said a note, according to the police. Searching the minors’ cell phones found messages about the plot, Hall said.
Additional to this, police officers were on campus because a student had warned a teacher about a rumor of a possible threat against students at school.
