The leader of a tribe in Ghana gave up participating in tribal rituals to take a missionary work to the whole place.
Naa Bohagu, is a follower of Christ. Besides, he is the right hand of the village chief. Since a while, he decided to break with the act of witchcraft, sacrifice and Islamic prayers to spread the gospel.
He accepted Christ at a very young age, and from that moment on, he has fought for the Gospel to expand.
«People did not know what a Christian was. But when they see that you are good, kind and compassionate, like Jesus, they want you to be their leader. They see that we have become peacemakers,” Nasiiraana, the king’s ambassador.
Throughout Ghana, Christian missionaries are winning souls for Christ, being pioneers in preaching and positive testimony for all.
And so, like them, other village leaders in Ghana are recognizing the work that God’s word is doing on people.
“I grew up knowing that the chief was a Christian, so I knew that I could also follow Jesus as chief,” said Soambangba, head of the Namangu village in Ghana.
Also, many abandoned the old traditions of their ancestors to serve God, some of them are youth leaders or pastors of entire communities.
This work has meant that since 2010, Christian leaders from Ghana started their own society. It is called “Association of Christian Chiefs of Northern Ghana“, making Christian values their priority to promote.
