“The presence of God was just so heavy,” testify deaf people healed in worship service

Three people who attended a worship service at a US church received a miracle by being healed of deafness while the congregation prayed for them.

In LifeChurch  Middlesboro, Kentucky, Paula Patterson, Kayla Medlin and Terry Malloy received healing in their ears after spending many years of their lives unable to hear anything more than a simple buzzing that degenerated their hearing.

Patterson, 63 years old, had deafness in her right ear since she was 7 years old, Medlin, 25, suffered from a hereditary condition that degenerated her sense of hearing on the right side and Malloy , 68 years old,had tinnitus (ringing) in his ears for over 20 years that kept him from hearing clearly.

 In LifeChurch they made several services of fasting and prayer for their city and nation, it was after this that the heavens opened in favor of these three people during a genuine word of faith.

After witnessing the message, Patterson was the first to receive prayer for her health, she was almost deaf since  her childhood due to an explosion in the mine where her father worked.

 “When I didn’t see anyone going to the healing prayer station, I decided I would go. I didn’t even think about the deafness in my right ear as I had it prayed over so many times, with no results, I just figured it was something I was going to live with the rest of my life,” Patterson told local news.

And during the prayers of one of the intercessors covered her ears and she received the miracle of healing for which she prayed so much.

“I felt this heat sensation running all through my body and then I heard two pops, and the next thing I noticed was that the music was really, really loud — that’s when I realized I could hear out of that ear as well!,” Patterson added.

“I can hear, I can hear!,” Patterson said crying.

Seeing this manifestation of God’s power, Pastor Paul Long called Medlin, who is on the worship team and who also had this same condition.

And although she was not convinced to receive the prayer, Medlin decided to overcome her mixed feelings about the recent healing of another person in her same condition.

“As soon as I came down off the platform and started to take a few steps, each step it got harder and harder to walk,” she says.

“It wasn’t anything holding me back, but the presence of God was just so heavy, with everyone praying, it was like the air felt dense . . . I never experienced something quite that tangible, where you could feel that undoubtably something [of God] is going on,” she added.

And before her husband could reach her, the healing occurred and once they were together they thanked God through tears.

“We just held each other and cried because it had been just a hindrance in my life for so long,” she says.

The third to go up to the altar was Malloy, who asked for prayer and during the moment, he “felt God healing his ears.”

“He started praying for me — the presence of God was so real — and then he cupped his hands over my ears,” Malloy recalls. “As soon as he did that, it was like I put a headset on and I could hear, I could hear everything! The ringing in my ears had stopped — the Lord had touched me!”

The pastor himself says that the healing was not for the moment, since the three people affirm that their hearing is permanent.

“I’ve spoken to all three of them this week, and all three healings stand,” Long says. 

“I’m 51 and I’ve been in ministry for a good number of years, but I’ve never personally witnessed anything like that. The wow factor just overwhelmed me. It was indescribable . . . I’m still having a hard time articulating what I saw,” Long said.
