Swiss mountain becomes symbol of hope amid pandemic

Gerry Hofstetter, a Swiss artist, took his art to Matterhorn Mountain in the Zermatt resort in Switzerland.

The artist’s initiative seeks to promote peace and solidarity in times of crisis and panic.

The artist’s intention was to transmit a message of hope and conscience amid all the chaos and crisis caused by the Coronavirus.

The artist wanted people to remember that there is still hope in the midst of the pandemic that in one way or another has changed the lives of many people on the planet.

Hofstetter illuminated the mountain using a striking red background and the word “hope” in white. He also made a special request, “stay home,” to stop the spread of the virus.

Apart from this, the Swiss artist also wanted to transmit a message of hope for all those infected with the virus.

So far, the Covid-19 has reached more than 600,000 people worldwide and has killed approximately 29,971.
