Prince William and Duchess Kate welcomed their third child

On Monday, April 23, Kate Middleton gave birth to a baby boy at St Mary’s Hospital.

Just before 6pm on Monday, the Royal couple posed on the steps outside the central London hospital where international media and well-wishers had gathered to celebrate the Royal family’s new arrival.

“Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cambridge, was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.

“The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

The child will become fifth in line to the throne, moving Prince Harry to the sixth spot. In line before the new baby are his two siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, his father, Prince William, and the next in line to the throne, Prince Charles.

Proud dad William said the couple was “very happy, delighted” as he expertly fit the baby carrier into the car before the couple made their way back to their home at Kensington Palace.

Congratulations to the royal couple on the safe delivery and the birth of their third child!
