In Texas, police officer Ross Bates pulled a couple who were driving at high speed.
Lanell McGee James and her husband, Lamar, were driving to Dallas after the death of his brother when the cop stop them for the traffic offense.
When they both told them the reason, the policeman said a prayer for the couple.
McGee recalls the event on her Facebook page saying the following:
He (the police officer) said oh I’m sorry to hear that, do you know where he is?, the officer asked. My husband answered “yes at the morgue” and the office responded “no he is now in his heavenly home”.
“At this point my husband and I are both moved to tears because his brothers death was very unexpected,” she added.
The trooper then went to his vehicle, and wrote a warning instead of a ticket and gave it to the couple.
That wasn’t all, Bates who was ordained recently as a Christian deacon, asked them if he could pray for them.
“He took off his hat and asked us to hold our hands and prayed with us. I’ve never had this before, but it was all we needed at that time, ”Janell details.
“I have NEVER had this happen before but it was everything that we needed in that moment. Thank you so much Trooper Bates for praying with us!” she ended the post.
The photo of the police officer praying with the cople went viral. The picture moved the hearts thousands after knowing the reason why the official had this attitude.
