«We want to keep Hungary as a Christian country»

In an interview for CBN News last year, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said that the country’s inhabitants wanted to maintain their heritage as a Christian nation.

«We want to keep Hungary as a Hungarian country; we want to keep Hungary as a Christian country, according to roots and heritage, ”he said.

Besides that, he said “We are a very family-oriented nation. You know, even in the Constitution, we speak very clearly that marriage is an institution between a man and a woman.”

In regard to Prime Minister, Orban has said that Hungary needs a government dedicated to Christian values, calling it Europe’s “last hope.”

Orban’s post of the image on Facebook also states “Soli Deo Gloria” which is Latin for: “Glory to God alone.”
