With the help of Pastor Stephen Waiswa from Bible Evangelism Ministries, the man who once opposed Christians finally embraced the Gospel and received Christ.

Pastor Stephen Waiswa, who is dedicated to evangelizing Muslim communities through apologetic discussions, shared a video on Facebook showing a powerful story of redemption and grace from the devout Imam (person who is often the leader of the collective prayer in Islam) who regularly promoted and preached the teachings of the Qur’an.

“God is changing the hearts of men,” Pastor Stephen Waiswa told Uganda Christian News.

“I led him in a prayer of confession and repentance, and he formally accepted Christ as his Savior,” Waiswa added.

The former Muslim leader spoke to his family and, the day after the crusade, his wife and children also confessed Christ, according to Pastor Stephen.

Pastor Stephen gave Jesus all the glory and stated that the crusades are bringing about a great change in the community.

However, he also warned of the possible rejection that former Muslims recently converted to Christianity may receive from their Muslim friends and family, but he is fully confident that local Christians are prepared to help them and embrace them fully.
