Kim Kardashian says death row inmate Rodney Reed ‘praised Jesus’ after his execution was suspended

Rodney Reed sentenced to death for the 1996 murder of Stacey Stites, maintained his innocence for over 20 years.

Reed, who was in a romantic relationship with Stites, was just days away from his scheduled execution. However, an eleventh hour ruling saw the highest court in Texas issue a stay of execution.

 The TV star Kim Kardashian gave some declarations about the case. She participates in Reed´s defense after new evidence pointing at another suspect, Stites’ fiance at the time.

In an interview with Jenna Bush Hager on “Today”,The bussiness woman explained that she visited Reed last week when he was just days from his scheduled execution date.

She reported that convicted murderer Rodney Reed praised Jesus when learned that his death sentence was suspended.

When we got the news it was just this overwhelming sigh of relief and hope,” She said.

“It was extremely emotional and he said praise Jesus and I could just feel his soul when he said that,” She added.

In October, Kardashian posted a message on Twitter to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, urging him to “do the right thing” in the Reed case.

Besides that, the celebrity said to “Today” that she “sees how black men are treated differently in America”. She is raising two men and she wants to make sure her world and their world is  “safe and fair”.
