Kanye West premiered his new opera production “Nebuchadnezzar”. The opera was launched at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Sunday.
It is based on the biblical account of the Babylonian king.
You can find the story of king Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel. It shows the transition from a wicked, self-declared ruler to a believer in God.
“West conceived of this opera as an expression of his commitment to both his faith and ever-expanding musical palette.
Nebuchadnezzar brings together elements from different worlds, including opera, fine art, modern dance, and gospel music, to create an innovative performance structure.
West’s sound is the bridge between these art forms,” according to a press release.
According to many reports related to the new Kanye West production said that the hip-hop star had nothing to do about being the focal point. Instead, he remained underprofile.
He served as the narrator for the performance and the audience did not see him until the end at the final bow.
