After opened up publicly about his faith with “Sunday Services”, Kanye West said he “has ended” his career as a secular singer.
Kanye West Kanye said that he is no longer making secular music and successfully releases his Christian album “Jesus Is King” in his hometown of Chicago.
According to reports, “Jesus is King” has received the best reviews before its launch by those who had prior access to it.
Andrew Barber, a hip hop blogger, confirmed the news of West after he attended an event organized for listening to the record production.
“Kanye announced that he is no longer making secular music. Only Gospel from now on, ”Barber wrote on Twitter after the meeting.
The event was not a “phone event”, so everyone was required to check their phone at the door.
Kim Kardashian West, Kanye´s wife was the person who confirmed the date set for the launch of the production.
The executives of his record label, Def Jam Recordings, were concerned about West´s retirement from secular music and because this new album is full of Christian themes.
“Def Jam Recordings recently traveled to West’s occasional house in Wyoming, where they expressed concern about an album full of West songs with Christian themes,” wrote a Christian news portal that had access to this meeting.
As a “born-again Christian,” Kanye has appeared at the concerts of his friends and colleagues with a single message “Jesus is King.”
