Violent clashes erupted on Israel’s border with Lebanon, which has required citizens to stay at home for their safety.
Called a “security incident”, the regional media reported an exchange of fire between Lebanese and Israeli military forces, which left several large explosions.
These events are a consequence of Syrian attacks on Israel by a large group of Syrian military personnel. According to Reuters, the attack left one person dead, a member of the Hezbollah movement.
The source of the conflict was identified as being in an area that is in dispute for belonging to the Golan Heights in terms of the Peace Agreement that plans to integrate as part of Israel the West Bank and part of the Palestinian state.
“Hezbollah should know that it is playing with fire,” said Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister in a televised speech to all of Tel Aviv, warning that another attempt at attack would generate a powerful response.
Both sides argue that their actions are part of a response to the other side as part of a move to offend or hurt their countries, either at the armed level or by territory, which is the main problem since the beginning of this year.
