A Syrian man and his wife have made their little daughter believe that the sound of bombs in the middle of a war is something “fun”; So they laugh every time they hear it.
A man named Abdullah Mohammed had to move with his family from Idlib, Syria, due to the military sieges they had to face in that area.
The family group consisting of his wife, his daughter and himself ended up at the border of Turkey after they left their home.
To avoid a psychological crisis in his little daughter, Mohammed and his wife came up with the idea of making his daughter believe that everything that happened around him was a game.
For this idea to be successful, the couple laughed in front of their daughter every time they hear a bomb explosion. They did this for the little girl to believe it was something funny, and it worked!
Abdullah shared a video of this to prove their reality. In the video, you can see him with his little girl while they speak you can hear the sound of an explosion. Almost immediately, the girl begins to laugh.
Muhammed is part of the displaced because of the war in Syria
Mark Lowcock, United Nations Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, said that at least 900,000 people have been displaced from Syria’s Idlib since December last year” mostly women and children as a result of the Syrian conflict.
Among these displaced are Abdullah Mohammed and his family.
The touching video of the Syrian and his daughter has been around the world. It reached millions of views, but it also shows the reality of what this Middle Eastern country is experiencing today.
“Children are having psychological crises because of the bombings. I try to see them as a reason for happiness and not fear, ”Mohammed said in an interview with local media.
