‘God has a plan for me,’ says the man who survived two attacks in the USA

Mike Dempsey recalled the tragic events he witnessed 16 years ago. Impressive as the hand of God to be with him since he also witness the shooting in Las Vegas, is very logical to ask yourself… What are the chances for a person to be present and escape unscathed from two tragedies?

It is there that we can evidence as God and His purpose. Asked about the coincidence of living twice as badly and escaping with life, he credits it to his faith. ‘I believe God has a plan for me.’ Instead of being angry or upset about what happened, I will try to know what survivor families may need. I want to help others.

While fleeing from the shots when Stephen Paddock opened fire on a crowd, he was overcome with fear. But this was not the first time Dempsey was in the middle of an attack. In 2001, he was working in Tower 2 of the World Trade Center when a plane struck the building.

For him, the desperation of the people in Las Vegas was very similar to what he saw during the September 11 attack. ‘These are images you can not forget.’

Miraculously, Dempsey survived both terrorist attacks, but says that in the following days he faced anxiety attacks and remained sleepless nights. ‘I discovered that the best way to conquer their fears is to confront them,’ he says.
