US Embassy in Beijing expressed that the first American diagnosed with Coronavirus passed away this week.
“We can confirm that a 60-year-old American citizen declared a carrier of the coronavirus died in a Wuhan hospital in China on February 6,” said an embassy spokesman.
“We present our deepest condolences to the family,” specifically.
It is not known yet if authorities repatriated the person to his country, like other compatriots and people of other nationalities.
At the moment, it was reported that 800 people from Wuhan were evacuated and in the US There are already 15 infected from Coronavirus. They were out of the country, according to NBC News.
Similarly, the doctor who had allegedly made the first Coronavirus alert also died, according to the Global Times portal.
“Chinese doctor Li Wenliang, one of eight complainants who tried to announce other doctors of the coronavirus outbreak but was reprimanded by the local police, killed by the coronavirus this Thursday in Wuhan,” says the Global Times tweet.
Since last year, Wenliang alerted his colleagues about this disease following the consumption of shellfish infected with SARS, which he did not know until then.
His alert was determined in a viral publication that later cataloged “false statements online,” so no one trusted the doctor.
So far, the number of people infected reached 34,546, while there are more than 20 countries that have infected people, all from Wuhan.
The total number of confirmed cases of the 2019 novel #coronavirus reported from mainland China 🇨🇳 to date is 34,546.
