Every day, they ask for God’s guidance and protection during their work time.

“Let their hands bring healing and comfort to all that they care for,” says one of the nurses at the beginning of her prayer.

They get together wearing their protective gear with their hands up to the sky asking for help.

Lord, we ask you to give them wisdom and favor. We ask that you would encourage them to be the leaders you have called them to be,” the nurse continues. “Let them be confident knowing that you are guiding their every step. Lord, give them patience, strength, and most of all, love as they walk in their new paths.”

Sally Gallegos, a surgical tech, believes it is popular because of the message this action is sending.

“To know that people are people out there taking the time to reflect and bring God back in to our society, it does something for my heart. I’m sure there are people out there, especially people who are in need, who are sick, knowing that the people who are going to take care of them, have that type of ability to come together and pray,” Gallegos said.
