Denzel Washington surprises Chicago fans by telling them he is a “God- fearing man”

Denzel Washington reaffirmed that he is a man fearful of God when he took by surprise to some fans in chicago that were used to the humility of the actor.

The actor decided to start a conversation with his fans. Washington exchanged stories with the group of people who gathered in the house. After exchanging anecdotes and stories, a man asked the actor if he knew how important he is.

‘We look at you, you’re a black statesman’. However, the actor humbly referred to himself as regular people. ‘I am a God-fearing man who was properly educated,’ he  told the people he met. ‘I did a lot of bad but I understood’.

Washington has made it clear that he finds the concept of being an overrated celebrity. ‘My father worked 50 years for the water department, he was also minister and worked three times the whole time,’ said washington previously to the press. ‘He did it, he was successful, the celebrity is really overrated, we do not want anything to do with being a celebrity, I’m an actor’.

More than an accomplished actor, Washington previously told Bishop TD Jakes that he was ‘seeking to be a servant of God’.
