Christians in the U.S. express outrage at the cruel death of an Afro-American

After an Afromerican was brutally murdered by a police officer, the various communities have risen up in opposition, including Christians.

The officers who murdered this man were fired from their positions.

George Floyd, 46, died after a white cop pinned his knees to his neck when he called for help and begged to be let alive, the video of this event went viral a few days ago.

“I can’t breathe,” were Floyd’s gasps as he was pinned to the ground on the officer’s knees, then images appeared of him completely immobile as he was being moved to the emergency room.

His death caused outrage across the country, including that of several well-known Christian leaders who are now calling for the denunciation of racial injustice.

Unacceptable events

The pastor of California Rock Church, Miles McPherson, expressed in his twitter accounts how outraged he is about this.

The officers working on this case fired them, while the version they are handling is that Floyd was pretending to pay with a fake bill and that he was under the influence of some substance, so he was asked to get out of his car and, according to him, the man resisted and took this brutal measure.

Other versions state that the man did not resist when he saw the police officers because he was “medicated”, his death after 4 minutes of torture was captured on video, which everyone has seen.

“I know I’m horrified by this. I’m tired of this and it has to change. And I think we all need to talk and talk. What we saw was the real life of this man lying on the ground for an officer who put his knee and his body weight on the neck of a man who was begging for mercy,” said the pastor of Potter’s House of North Dallas, Sheryl Brady.

Floyd’s attack has caused more than one person to change his mind about what was thought to be the case with this type of action toward people of color, “Today I choose to leave my truth behind to learn from my friends of color. If we really are the body of Christ, one pain affects us all. We are not just the body when it is convenient,” argued Evangelist Christine Caine.
