Brazil on alert after confirming more than 1,000 cases of Covid-19 in the country’s largest production facility

A new outbreak of infection in Brazil was found in a pig production plant, where more than 1,000 positive cases of Covid-19 were diagnosed.

Out of 4,000 employees, 1,000 are infected with Coronavirus.

The JBS SA pig plant found more than 1,000 cases of Coronavirus confirmed by the Labor Prosecutor’s Office which shows that the country’s meat plants have problems containing the spread of the virus.

From Dourados of JBS, massive tests were performed for 4,134 employees, in which 1,075 of them were positive, the same company assured that it always implemented the security measures when the first case was confirmed.

Another local poultry plant reported an outbreak of Coronavirus, with 85 people infected, of which only 72 people recovered.

Companies affected by Covid-19 are currently replacing infected employees with healthy ones, providing protection for both workers and the facility.

Brazil is currently the  most affected Latin American country by the pandemic, which so far has recorded 62,254 deaths and 41,988 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, China has suspended imports of meat from 20 different plants due to a new outbreak of the virus, including countries like Brazil.
