Despite many aspects in her career were going well, she was experiencing dissatisfaction. “I just knew something was wrong. If I had money in my pocket, I was thinking, how much money can I have? What else can I get from this?”

“Nothing literally satisfied”, says the young actress, “I always knew this can’t be life”.

Wright says she started getting into the Word of God after a conversation with a friend. “A friend called me and told me: ‘God told me to call you and tell you that you’re not in a good place. I can tell you about Jesus, His Spirit set me free, so I’m just sharing it with you’”.

Something “clicked” and interested her, Letitia says. “He gave me Matthew 6:33, which says: Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things shall be added to you”.

“As I started to read in other versions, I realised [the verse] just means: keep your eyes on God”. After these first steps, “I got very hungry, and started feeding myself on the Word”

When asked about the portions of the Bible that have touched her most, Wright mentions the New Testament. She said: “The Gospels are my favourite, all of those red letters [words spoken by Jesus] are just so impactful and brought life to me”.

For her, reading the Bible “brings your mind back into alignment of what God wants you to be”. Wright says her life as a committed Christian means that “something happened”, After her conversion, there was “something different in my spirit, I felt free”.
