Christian leaders Beth Moore and Christine Caine joined in prayer for their sister in Christ and friend, Priscilla Shirer.
Previous the surgery, Shirer talked about her health condition. She said that she need to get a surgey due to a nodule doctors discoverd in her left lung.
On a Facebook post, the author said she had delayed the surgery because the past few months have been difficult for her family.
The Evans family lost some beloved ones last year. So Shirer decided to stop the surgery for a while. However, recently, Shirer affirmed she cannot put her lung surgery off any longer.
“For those reasons, the surgery was delayed but I cannot put it off any longer without jeopardizing my own health. So this Monday, 1/13/20, surgeons will be removing an entire lobe of my left lung,” she wrote.
As planned, Shirer underwent the surgery, but she was not alone as some of her friends decided to be in that important moment for the author and actress.
“Armed and Dangerous”
The morning of her surgery, Moore and Caine shared on Instagram that they were headed to the hospital at 6 a.m.
The faith leaders said they were“armed and dangerous” with anointing oil and the Bible to cover the motivational speaker in prayer.
“In the cab on the way to the hospital where our friend is having surgery. Armed and dangerous. And yes we will no doubt march around the hospital 7 times like it’s Jericho,” Moore wrote on Instagram along with a video of the two ministers in a cab on the way to an undisclosed hospital in Dallas.
When Caine shared the video, she wrote the following:
“Sometimes you need a double barreled approach when you are going into active intercessory prayer for your friend who is having surgery.”
The evangelists shared that the anointing oil and the Bible they carried were a perfect representation of the Holy Spirit and the Word of truth.
“This is real sisterhood. No woman left alone. Whether she wants to be or not! Spirit and Truth working together,” Caine continued.
